The global arts and crafts market is on track to grow from $23.56 billion in 2025 to $35.29 billion by 2032, according to Wix. That is a massive pie, and you do not need a factory to grab your slice. But not every craft is worth your time. So how do you pick the right one?

Wix lays out seven criteria for a profitable craft: low-cost materials with high resale value, easy to replicate, customizable, fits a trend or solves a need, lightweight and easy to ship, looks clean and professional, and actually sells on marketplaces or at fairs. I cross-referenced those seven rules against craft lists from Shopify, Wix, and eufymake to find the overlap. These six crafts kept showing up again and again.

1. Candles

Candles appear on all three expert lists. That consensus is hard to ignore. Materials like wax, wicks, and fragrance oils are cheap in bulk. The finished product looks polished with minimal effort. Candles are lightweight, easy to ship, and endlessly customizable through scent combinations, container styles, and seasonal themes. They also fit squarely into the wellness and home fragrance trend.

2. Handcrafted Jewelry

Jewelry shows up on all three lists as well. The profit potential is strong because a craft is most profitable when the selling price sits well above material and time costs, especially when the niche market is passionate. Jewelry delivers on that. A few dollars in beads, wire, or metal blanks can become a $30 to $50 piece. It is highly customizable, easy to replicate once you nail a design, and simple to package and ship.

3. Tufted Rugs and Mats

Rugs appear on both the Shopify and eufymake lists. This one breaks the "lightweight and easy to ship" rule, but it makes up for it in resale value. Top creators can fetch hundreds of dollars for a single tufted rug. Jacob Winter of Mush Studios picked up tufting as a pandemic hobby and built a successful brand after his TikTok videos went viral. Rugs are harder to replicate quickly, but the per-unit profit can compensate for slower production.

4. Keychains

Keychains land on both the Wix and eufymake lists. They are the poster child for easy replication. Once you design a mold, a resin pour, or a sublimation template, you can crank out dozens with very little effort per unit. Materials cost pennies. They are feather-light for shipping. And because they are small and affordable, they make perfect impulse buys or add-on items to boost your average order value.

5. Decorative Coasters

Coasters show up on both the Wix and eufymake lists. Like keychains, they are small, cheap to produce, and easy to ship in bulk. But coasters have an edge in the home décor category. You can customize them with resin art, pressed flowers, hand-painted designs, or printed graphics. Sets of four or six also encourage buyers to spend more than they would on a single item.

6. Custom T-Shirts and Apparel

Custom apparel appears on both the Wix and eufymake lists. This craft solves a real need: people constantly want shirts that express their identity, humor, or affiliations. With heat-transfer vinyl or screen printing, replication is fast once you have your design locked in. The barrier to entry is low, and the customizable nature of apparel means you can test niche designs without holding inventory.

How to Pick Your Craft and Start Selling

The strongest bet is the craft that checks the most of those seven Wix criteria while matching skills you already have, or are willing to learn. If you want low risk and fast turnaround, start with keychains or coasters. If you want higher per-unit profit and can handle shipping logistics, tufted rugs could be your move. The market is growing, the demand is real, and the overlap across multiple expert sources does not lie. Which of these six crafts fits your skills and the time you can dedicate this month?
